Convening and affordable budget hotel, near a variety of shops and restaurants/bars. Rooms could do with a bit more of a clean, the general cleanliness wasn't amazing with the walls and floors in need of a bit more cleaning as there was visible dirt and hairs. Staff were helpful on check in allowing us to check in quite a bit earlier which was nice and helpful. Would stay again given it's very good value.

Had to book a hotel last minute for a few days and found this hotel online… while the word “budget” can be scary to some, the ibis chains are generally quite decent so I was happy to book a room for 2 nights. The double room is quite small but has enough room for a queen sized bed and a small desk with a shower and toilet - think university accommodation with an en suite. There was also a TV on the wall! The staff are very friendly at the front desk and were very helpful during check in and check out. Forgot to take photos due to being incredibly jet lagged from travelling from the UK! Overall, I would recommend the hotel, it’s very very basic and it would do for those on a budget or for those who just want somewhere they can sleep and shower. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk up hill to the closest train station to take you to Bondi Junction or into the centre… or you could walk into the centre if you wanted to! No complaints at all!

Great place for a short stay especially if you’re sightseeing all day. It’s budget and that’s what you pay for but by standards of budget it was great. Staff were excellent, overly helpful and always smiling and made you feel welcomed. We had two family rooms and two queen rooms and all were great. We had a brilliant view of the harbour. Breakfast was great for just $10. Rooms and hotel were clean. Would stay here again if I was looking for a budget hotel and central location.

Mostly clean, minimalist. As a family of 5, with 3 teen/young adult children, and hence requiring 2 rooms, we booked here for a more affordable option in Sydney. We knew it would be quite basic, and it was. At least, rooms were clean and had a private bathroom. The bathroom was not as clean, with dirty grout and maybe some mould. Breakfast was also basic, but fine. Appreciated the hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, and espresso coffee. Things that could be fixed easily: - Provide guests with an address for the accessible front door so that Uber/taxi can drop them off there. We had to lift our suitcases up a long, steep flight of stairs. Luckily we are relatively able-bodied. I don't know what we would have done otherwise! When we got up the stairs we realised there was another entrance ... (not William St, but I guess Premier Lane?) - Add a curtain to separate the shower area from the toilet. We had water everywhere ... - Thoroughly scrub the bathrooms with bleach

The hotel's location is excellent! If you enjoy walking, it's just a half-hour stroll to the Sydney Opera House, making it very convenient for exploring this iconic landmark. A well-equipped room, quite comfortable. We arrived at midnight, and the front desk staff was still working, displaying a warm and friendly attitude. The sound insulation is moderate, so if you're sensitive to noise, it's worth considering.
